This is a road side turnoff and popular picnic location near the river.  The mule shoe gets its name as the water in the river used to ring right around in the shape of a mule shoe.  It offers a great view of the hole in the wall cave on the west side of Mt Norquay.  This is about a ten to fifteen min drive from when you first enter the Bow Valley Parkway from the east side.
