This trail, starting at the Cave and Basin in Banff, starts off with a .5k downhill until you reach the river.  The trail is paved and horseback rides go along side on this older fire road.    It is a popular jogging trail as well as this is where a number of 10k runs are held through the year.  This trail shows the connection to the sundance turnoff and where it meets with Healy Creek.  A good ride on a mountain bike includes taking this trail from Banff and then taking the Trans Canada Highway back until it connects with Vermillion Lakes.  There is a gate where you can get your bike through to this trail.
